There is a patch of shade at the edge of every good beach, right where two palm trees lean toward each other and the sand stays cool all afternoon. Under the Palms is the Aloha Threads collection that lives in that spot. Every design here is drawn from the shade looking out, with the trunks framing the view and the water doing what water does.
Somebody hung a hammock
A lot of these palms are holding something up. In Island Time, a striped hammock sways between two curving trunks in front of a pale sun, with All the Time lettered underneath like a promise. Chill Out strings a red hammock across a turquoise afternoon, No Shoes No Worries catches one at sunset, and Pineapple Paradise and Island Life for Me hang theirs over soft pink and gold water. Then the koalas moved in. In Koala Lemonade a sleepy koala settles into a hammock with a tall glass of lemonade, Koala Tropics does the same in a blossom-trimmed nest, and Koalified to Chill naps under the palms on a black night sky. Nobody in this collection is in a hurry.
Sunsets through the trunks
Seas the Day puts the sun right between the palms as it melts into the ocean in orange and coral. Tropical Breezes and Tropical Breezes Are Calling show quiet coves with the fronds leaning in, Aloha Breezes sends a single palm out over rolling surf, and Aloha Vibes tucks a waterfall behind hibiscus and a pineapple. Island Dreaming floats a little thatched hut on a rose-colored island, and Take Me to the Tropics sends a small red seaplane gliding in for a landing.
Friends in the shade
Gone Beachin sets a pup in sunglasses on a red lounge chair with a cool drink and a sunset, and Coconut Craze stacks a whole crown of coconuts on a patient giraffe standing between two palms. For the collector, Summer Dreams wraps a golden sun in a medallion of waves and blossoms.
For the one who finds the shade first
This is for the friend who walks onto the beach and heads straight for the palms, towel already over the shoulder. The one who naps on vacation without apology and reads three chapters before lunch. Picture them swaying in a hammock, one foot trailing in the sand. Island time, always, and the shade is saved for them.
