Somewhere on the mainland, Halloween is a hustle. Fog machines, itchy costumes, a pumpkin patch you drove forty minutes to stand in line for. Here, it goes a little differently. The sun still sets slow, the water is still warm, and if a ghost happens to drift by, it drifts. No hurry. Even the spirits know better than to rush a good evening.
